Dear Franck,
thank you very much in your interest in our solution!
I will try to answer your questions best as possible here.
Nevertheless I think it would also be helpfull to schedule an online meeting to discuss your points and to show possible solutions directly online.
Please share your email address so we can schedule a meeting.
Regarding the .NET Service:
We use this service to be able to generate high quality exports, which would not be possible via javascript or java (which the SAP standard solution is actually using).
Of course it requires a Windows operating system, but requirements on CPU and memory are really basic – nothing compared to a BW, BO or HANA server. Basically you can also run it on a Virtual Machine, but sizing of course also depends on the number of users and size of documents that you want to create.
We have offer options:
You can install it on premise or use our on-demand Export Cloud (which works via Germany based servers and https communication).
Pricing is also affected by your selection:
If you install it on premise it is a one-time license and additional yearly maintenance fee.
If you use the Export Cloud, it is an on-demand payment depending on the number of documents you create.
Regarding US page format:
Yes we also support US page format, sorry the documentation only shows examples here.
Regarding PDF generation:
With our tool you get a lot of flexibility. Basically we offer the same modes as SAP:
- WYSIWYG export (corresponding to “Export Screen”)
- Export layouts (corresponding to “Export Application”
In both modes we keep the formatting and we show the hierarchy correctly. SVG charts are shown in highest quality.
Find an example for the hierarchy export attached. We are happy to get your feedback and please share your additional requirements.
With the WYSIWYG export you can specify exactly which elements to include or exclude.
With the Export layouts, you can rearrange elements flexibly. Here we also export all lines of the tables.
Regarding long tables:
We already have a couple of customers dealing with very long tables.
One valued customer is Coca Cola in Israel.
Let’s meet in an online session to make your example work.
I will be happy to hear from you!
Best regards
Thilo
